Highfield Stock Farm takes its 2025 breeding program to some of the continent’s most prestigious Thoroughbred auctions

From Alberta to Kentucky and New York, Highfield Stock Farm’s 2025 yearling program reached some of the most prominent sales on the North American Thoroughbred calendar.

Throughout the 2025 sales season, Highfield presented a select group of homebred yearlings at premier marketplaces including the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Select Yearling Sale, CTHS Ontario Premier Yearling Sale, Keeneland September Yearling Sale, CTHS Alberta Yearling Sale and Fasig-Tipton Kentucky October Yearling Sale, followed by offerings at the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale.

Among the year’s highlights was Highfield’s consignment to the 2025 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Select Yearling Sale, one of North America’s most prestigious yearling auctions. Highfield presented Hip No. 160, a colt by City of Light x Mizzen Beau, at the August 4–5 sale.

The Saratoga marketplace itself produced record-setting results in 2025, with more than $100 million in sales and 25 yearlings bringing $1 million or more.

Highfield’s yearlings also entered a particularly strong market at Keeneland September, where the 2025 sale established a record $531.5 million in total sales, including 56 yearlings selling for seven figures.

Closer to home, Highfield continued to demonstrate the strength of its Alberta breeding program at the 2025 CTHS Alberta Yearling Sale, while simultaneously bringing its bloodstock to buyers and breeders across the continent.

For Highfield, participation in these sales represents more than a presence in the auction. It is the culmination of a process that begins with carefully selected bloodlines and continues through breeding, foaling, raising, developing and preparing each horse for its next chapter.

From the pastures of Alberta to the sales grounds of Saratoga, Lexington and beyond, Highfield’s yearling program continues to bring Alberta-bred Thoroughbreds to a North American audience.
