Tapiture earned $1,536,820 on the racetrack, winning the Grade 2 West Virginia Derby and placing in 11 graded stakes, including a runner-up finish in the Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile. His racing career demonstrated the combination of class, consistency and versatility that has become a defining characteristic of his breeding career.
At stud, Tapiture has established himself as a proven sire with more than $44 million in progeny earnings and a growing record of stakes-winning and stakes-placed runners across North America.
His impact has continued in Canada since arriving at Highfield Stock Farm for the 2025 breeding season. Tapiture is a son of Tapit, one of North America’s most influential sires, and is out of the successful mare Free Spin. His pedigree combines elite American bloodlines with a proven record of producing durable, competitive racehorses.
Since making the move from Darby Dan Farm in Kentucky to Highfield Stock Farm, Tapiture has become an important part of Highfield’s expanding stallion program and its commitment to providing Canadian breeders access to proven North American bloodlines.
With his racing credentials, proven production and continued performance in the Canadian breeding industry, Tapiture represents an opportunity to breed to a stallion whose record is already established, while his progeny continue to add to it.
