The excitement of another Alberta Thoroughbred sales season is here!
Highfield Stock Farm is proud to be heading to Westerner Park in Red Deer this Friday, September 18, for the 2026 CTHS Alberta Thoroughbred Sale.
The annual sale brings together breeders, consignors, owners, trainers and buyers from across Alberta and beyond for one of the province’s most important events on the Thoroughbred calendar.
For Highfield, the journey to the sales ring represents the culmination of months — and, in many cases, years — of careful breeding, raising, development and preparation.
Our 2026 consignment represents another group of young Thoroughbreds from the Highfield program, carrying pedigrees carefully selected for racing performance and future potential.
Last year’s Alberta sale demonstrated the strength and momentum of the provincial market, generating more than $1 million in total sales, with 73 yearlings sold. Highfield led all consignors, selling five yearlings for a combined $104,000, including a Reload filly who brought $53,000, the second-highest price of the sale.
We’re excited to return to Red Deer and introduce this year’s group to buyers.
Whether you’re looking for your next racing prospect, following Alberta’s breeding industry, or simply want to experience the excitement of Thoroughbred sales, we invite you to stop by and see the Highfield consignment.
We’ll see you at the 2026 CTHS Alberta Thoroughbred Sale.
