It’s a Fact absolutely flew to the finish line in the $50,000 Birdcatcher Stakes at Century Mile Racetrack and Casino.
The grey 2-year-old gelding by The Factor out of the Zensational mare Zensational Beauty was purchased from the Glen Todd Dispersal Sale in the spring. He’s never been off the board in five starts with an impressive 2 wins, 1 second and 2 third place finishes.
It’s a Fact broke from the gate alertly, and raced three wide through the opening turn. He moved up just off the flank of front runner Cuban Cobra, and when jockey Desmond Bryan gave him his cue a quarter mile from the finish he flew to the finish, winning by an easy four and half lengths.
“He looks great, he’s put on really good condition this fall and he’s really matured as the season progressed,” said Adrian, “He needed that win (on October 14) to put it all together and I’m really happy with how he handled this race.”
